IN THE MAKING…
THE CROWN WORKS RANGE
All of our Crown Works Range is made at the studio by our wonderful Teachers; Lucy Ocejo and Ervin Cirikovic.
Working over many years we have collaboratively set upon our shapes and our glaze palette for the range.
The forms tend to evolve each year, as do our choices of glaze finish, often morphing into new designs according to lessons and preferences learned from the previous batches.
Making at the studio tends to happen in intensive throwing ‘chapters’, the last having occured over the Summer months of July and August. This allows the studio to have some much needed down-time of teaching and to really get stuck into production throwing, whilst using the hot breeze of the summer to dry out shelves and shelves of work.
We really look forward to sharing with you the latest range rendition once we have all the pieces through the kiln and ready to launch.
The below images were taken at the studio to help show some of the process of the intensive making that we so love to do…
