Lucia Ocejo
Lucia Ocejo was born and raised in Mexico City and reallocated to London in 2018. Her work incorporates a variety of ashes and clays to create glazes that, through the transformative process of reduction firing, reveal the unique characteristics of the materials, producing vibrant green and blue when melted. With a background in Fine Arts and a dual degree in sculpture and art history, she began as a self-taught potter before honing her skills during an apprenticeship with master potter Steve Sheridan in the Blue Mountains, Australia.
Lucia now manages Crown Works Pottery in London, where she teaches wheel-throwing and specialised workshops on glaze chemistry. Recently, she participated in the London Design Festival and London Craft Week, advocating for material intelligence in ceramics. Her work has been featured in Vogue Mexico and The Telegraph Magazine.
