One Day Throwing and Handbuilding - 11:00-17:00 [or equivalent hours] Privately Taught Class - Full Space Hire

One Day Worksop covering Wheel Throwing and Handbuilding

This course is designed to introduce you to pottery through a combination of wheel throwing followed by a creative handbuilding session focused on mug-making using pinch pots and slab building techniques.

The day will be split in two and under the guidance of our expert instructor, you will learn the fundamental techniques of centering, pulling, and shaping clay on the potter's wheel for two and a half hours.

After an hour long break, the second part of the workshop, you will discover the versatile techniques of pinch pots and slab building. You will learn to construct mugs from soft clay using your fingertips and hands. Pinch pots will allow you to shape unique and organic forms, while slab building will enable you to construct more structured and intricate designs.

Throughout the workshops, the instructor will provide demonstrations, personalized guidance, and helpful tips to help you refine your techniques.

Each attendee has their own dedicated potters wheel and tools with a maximum of 20 people who attend.

Expect to make anywhere between 1-2 pieces, if you would like to keep more than 2 pieces, we charge an extra £10 a pot, which will fire and glaze for you!

A Maximum of 20 Students Attending - One Day Class - £2800

If 20 attend this is £140 per head which is our normal Try All Workshop.

[Fixed price no matter the number attending as this is a full private hire of space]
