THROWING ENCLOSED FORMS | INTERMEDIATE

£245.00
sold out

Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of March - 11:00 - 17:00 - Taught by Francis Lloyd-Jones

The course will focus on throwing enclosed forms and ways of distorting and manipulating them. It will include making vases, jars and perhaps some teapots if time permits.

The class is designed to encourage different ways of thinking about how to use and play with the enclosed pressure, to produce objects with asymmetry and concentrate on mark making rather than decoration. Lids can be carved out and handles attached.

The course looks to draw out the more playful nature of thrown pots, with decisions being made along the way as opposed to a predetermined outcome. A fairly reasonable throwing ability is needed to make the most of this course.

General Class Information…

This weekend classes will run from 11:00 - 17:00 both days and there will be a maximum of 10 people attending this class. Each person has their own dedicated potters wheel.

All classes will take place in the pottery at: 11 Crown Works, Temple Street, London, E26QQ

Please bring your own apron and please don't wear your best clothes as you are likely to get muddy!

Please make sure you can attend all dates, as it is not possible to refund or change your booking date unless given 7 days or more notice.

Price includes all materials, glazes and firings. You are able to keep up to 6 pots per person and if you have made more that you love, you can pay for additional pots at £10 per piece.

We regret that if you have not picked up your pots within one month of the original pick up email being sent out, then we will have had to dispose of the pots as we are so limited on shelf space.

Any questions please email lucy@crownworkspottery.com
